Five shops/Retail to collect SASSA R350 and all other SASSA grants

SASSA SRD (Social Relief of Distress ) R350 Clients can no longer get their money from the post office. Recipients of the COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant of R350 who had selected to receive their funds at SAPO (South African Post Office) branches are also requested to visit www.srd.sassa.gov.za and select an option to collect the money from any of the below retail outlets (shops).
Where can SASSA SRD R350 client get their payments?
Clients who still have uncollected SRD R350 credit at SAPO/Postbank can collect at any of the following retail shops outlets:
- Pick ‘n Pay
- Boxer
- Checkers
- Usave
- Shoprite
What do you need to collect SASSA SRD R350 at the retail shops outlets above?
When going to a merchants to access the funds, clients must have their Identity Document (ID card or ID book), Cellphone they registered when applying for the grant ,the OTP number will be sent to this registered number ,when collecting.
All applicants for the COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress grant are encouraged to update their details on the system, to have the grant paid into their own personal bank account if possible, as this is the easiest way to receive the funds.
SASSA will continue to engage with communities and local leadership – traditional leaders and/or councillors – to inform clients of the options they have to access their funds. SASSA apologises to all clients for any inconvenience that this might have cause.
