The Southern African Heads of Independent Schools Association (SAHISA) is a professional membership and development organisation for heads and principals at ISASA-affiliated schools.
The Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa is the largest and oldest association of independent (private) schools in the Southern African region. ISASA traces its origins to the Conference of Headmasters and Headmistresses, originally formed in 1929.
ISASA is a non-profit, voluntary association and schools elect to apply for ISASA membership. Each member school pays an annual subscription fee and, in return, ISASA provides its members with a range of services. These include financial, advocacy, school best practice, professional development and other services.
ISASA does not own or manage any individual schools and is not a governing body for private schools.
INTERN EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

Key competencies
Must be in the final year of their Educational Psychology master’s degree from an accredited South African tertiary institution and registered with HPCSA as an intern psychologist.
Must have submitted their final dissertation for review
Must be eligible to start the Internship in 2023
Commitment to working with young children, parents, and staff
Strong communication and inter-personal skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Creativity
Computer literacy with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure
Any staff member working within a school is required to have a criminal and sexual offender’s clearance certificate
APPRENTICE TEACHER

Skills and Qualifications required:

2023 Teacher Internship
Durban Girls’ College is an independent Christian girl’s school offering not only an educational journey to our students but also to Teacher interns through the Teacher Internship programme that will boost experience, skills and expertise.
We have several Intern vacancies in the Junior Primary, Senior Primary and High School. The applicant must be studying towards their B.Ed. Degree, preferably in their third or fourth year, or studying towards their PGCE.
Interns work a minimum of 20 hours per week some of which may include coaching.
